Slack

Team plan and higher

Mention @TimetoTest in a channel or a direct message to start a task. It shows a live checklist in the thread while it works, then replaces it with the result, the report and the recording. Slack is available on the Team plan and higher.

Connect Slack

  1. Add the app

Under the message box on the dashboard, click Connect Slack and allow TimetoTest in your Slack workspace. Slack sends you back to TimetoTest when it is added. Your Slack user is linked, and the project you connected from becomes your default project in Slack.

If your workspace already has TimetoTest, the button reads Use in Slack. Click it to make this project your default in Slack.

  2. Link your account

Teammates who did not add the app run /timetotest login in Slack and click Link account. The link expires in 10 minutes. Run /timetotest whoami to check which account and default project Slack uses.

  3. Mention it

Mention @TimetoTest with what to test. Files you attach go to the agent with the message.

Follow up

Reply in the thread to add detail or ask a follow-up. Anyone in the channel can reply, and the task runs as the person who started it.

While it works, TimetoTest reacts to your message with 👀 and keeps a checklist in the thread. The checklist shows the current step, ticks items off as they finish, and has View task and Stop buttons. When the task ends, the checklist and the reaction go, and the result stays.

Projects and channels

Tasks you start in Slack run in your default project. Run /timetotest projects to see the projects you can edit. Click Make default to change your default, or Connect this channel to let the agent post in the channel for that project, from any task in it, including tasks started on the web and schedules.

For a private channel, also add the app with /invite @TimetoTest.
